|
You won’t hear up-and-coming rap star Flo Rida griping about fans pilfering his songs on P2P sites, or complain that technology is hurting the music industry. Don’t talk to him about so-called digital divides either.
As one of rap music’s fastest rising stars, Rida, 28, is new enough to music success that fans are still precious [...]

Woods Of Ypres Biography |
 |
Current Line-Up:
Brian McManus - Guitar, Black Vocals
Aaron Palmer - Bass, Clean Vocals
David Gold - Drums
WOODS OF YPRES plays a unique style of high energy Black Metal with deep, lasting melodies and a certain cold, flowing sorrow that appropriately celebrates that which you learn in times of sadness. Their debut recording "Against The Seasons - Cold Winter Songs From The Dead Summer Heat" pays tribute to these desperate times with 31 minutes of euro riffs, blasts, black and clean vocals in a combination of extreme musicianship and tasteful song writing that will leave you emotionally spent. The CD was named from the fact that the band were working "Against The Seasons", creating cold, blue, Melodic Black Metal during a long, hot, miserable summer to pay tribute to hopeless days of the past. This hard process has produced good results as they have received excellent reviews from such credible sources as Legacy Magazine, Myrr Thronth, Brave Words And Bloody Knuckles, Digital Metal, Unrestrained, and of course The Metal Observer. Though having just formed in May of 2002, WOODS OF YPRES have proven to be genuine in having something original to share with the listening world. As 2003 approaches, WOODS OF YPRES are currently writing new material as they continue to define the Black Metal sound that will one day be synonymous with Ontario, Canada.
