But thank god they did though as the years of teen frustration and small town bullshit finally backfired and blew up into a rock n roll ball of flame named The Datsuns. Behind their young boyish looks and impish grins hides something more sinister waiting to be unleashed...and unleashed it is at every show, a wild, foot stomping rawk played with the extravagant brand of rock showmanship and the best in searing geetars.... Their latest and greatest single Fink for the Man is fast selling out and gained single of the week in both Inpress and The Age in Melbourne.
Their first single Super Gyration! released exclusively on 7" vinyl completely sold out. Hardly surprising as it held the #1 spot on the Alternative charts for three consecutive weeks and was the most played song on the b-Net radio network during the month of August 2000. The single was also up for an award at the 2000 b-Net NZ Music Awards, where The Datsuns were also nominated for Best New Act
